7 Round Swiss - Championship and Amateur Sections
5 Round Swiss Scholastic Side Event.
Championship Section: Rounds 1-3 G/90 with 30 sec increment, Rounds 4-7 G/120 with 30 sec increment.
Amateur Section: Rounds 1-7 30/90 SD/1, round 1 of 3 day is G/120 (deduct 5 min for delay).

Entry fee: $69 if received by 5/18, $80 at site. $45 Junior (under 19)/Senior (over 65)/Handicap (counts 60% towards base) if received by 5/18, $55 at site Add $5 for credit card phone entries. pre-reg requires prepayment. After 5-24-06 all registration and changes on site only; all changes including withdrawals, $10 after 5-24-06. Registrations that do not indicate 4 or 3 day schedule will be put in the 3 day. $8350 in prizes based on 175 full entries.
Texas Chess Association membership required, other states association memberships accepted.
Up to two ½ point byes available if requested before end of round 2 and before any full point bye is awarded. Byes for both rounds 6 AND 7 is not permitted.
4 day: Registration 5/26, 6:15 -7:15 pm. 3 day: Registration 5/27, 9-9:30am.

The 4 day and 3 day schedules merge for round 2.
Championship: Open to players with USCF or Fide ratings of 2000 or greater and last year's Amateur Champion. Foreign Unrated must play in Championship Section. This Section is also Fide rated but uses USCF rules.

One Day Scholastic Tournament

5 round Swiss System (no elimination, play all 5 rounds.)
Two Sections: K-12 Championship & K-12 Under 750
Time Control: Rounds 1-3 G/30 (each player gets 30 minutes for each game)
Rounds 4-5 G/45 (each player gets 45 minutes for each game.)
Open to anyone in grades K-12, USCF Membership is required.
Entry Fee: $26 by 5/18, $39 after. Add $5 for credit card phone entries. pre-reg requires prepayment. After 5-24-06 all registration and changes on site only; all changes $10 after 5-24-06. No refunds after 5-24-06. $10 handling fee for refunds before 5-25-06. Registration Flyer
Scholastic does not count toward the 175 based on prizes in Championship and Amateur.

Round Times: Round 1 at 9:30 am, rest ASAP with small lunch break.
