13 separate tournaments, 1 per grade, kindergarten through 12^th . Players must play in their grades. Playing up to a higher or down to a lower grade level is not permitted.

Trophies to top 10 individuals and top 5 teams in each section. (Note that some sections with heavy pre-registrations may have more awards.)

Top 3 players in the section is added for team scores. No more than two teams per school per grade may be entered. If entering more than one team per grade, the teams must be predefined and may be paired against each other.

Entry Fee is $35 if postmark by 10/17 else $59 afterward.

K-8th Grade Round Times

Registration Friday, October 31 from 7 pm - 9 pm.

Registration Saturday, November 1 from  7:30 am -  8:30 am.

Saturday registration may require a 1/2 point first round bye.

One ½ pt bye available, any round, if requested before rd. 2 and before any full point bye is awarded.

9-12th Grade Round Times

Registration for 3 day schedule Fri Oct 31 from 7 pm - 7:30 pm. Registration for 2 day Friday, October 31 from 7 pm - 9pm.

Registration for Saturday, November 1 from  7:30 am -  8:30 am.

Saturday registration may require a 1/2 point first round bye.

One ½ pt bye available, any round, if requested before rd. 2 and before any full point bye is awarded.

The 2 day and 3 day merge for Round 2

Blitz Open tourney Fri. 7:45 pm.  EF: $15, Trophy prizes.

Individual Tiebreaks:  Modified Median, Median, Solkoff, Sonneborn-Berger, Cumulative.

Team Tiebreaks:  Total individual medium, Total Solkoff, Total Sonnenborn-Berger, Total Cumulative.

Latest version of Swiss Sys will be used. Pairings created by this program are considered legal and may stand even if a pairing is not ideal. This is especially true if pairings have been posted. Current version is at 8.91

Collegiate:  Oct 31-Nov 2. 5SS, G/90, with 30 sec inc. Collegiate is open to any college player. Only Texas players/Colleges can be be Texas Collegiate Champs. . $$ $400-$200-$100, 1st ‘1600-1800’ $200, 1st ‘1200-1599’ $200, 1st U1200 $200, Unrated eligible for U1200 prize or 1^st -3^rd overall only. Plaques to top 5 Individuals, Plaques to top 5 Teams (top four players added for team scores, no more than 2 teams per school.) EF: $49 by 10/17/14, $69 thereafter. Reg: 2day on Sat on 7:30 am – 8:30 am. 2 day Rd 1 is at 9 am. Sections merge then  rds . Sat  12:15pm-5:30pm., Sun. 9 am and 1:45 pm.
