Premier Section: Open to players rated 1800 or above. Players who have had a 1700’s over the board rating, and have a provable over the board rating of 1700 in the past year may play in this section by paying late entry fee. $$ $500-$240-$120. Class prizes, if any, depend on entries. EF: $94 by October 7 else $109. Senior (over 65) / Birthday during tournament/ Additional Family Member/Re-entry from Reserve section $70 by October 7 else $84. Re-entry from Premier Section to Premier Section is not allowed.
Reserve Section: Open to players rated Under 2000. EF: $69 by October 7 else $74. Senior (over 65) / Birthday during tournament / Additional Family Member $52 by October 7 else $64. Reentry - $40 is allowed from Premier Section if the player is qualified by rating to play in the Reserve. $$ at least 25% of Reserve entry fees. Arbiter will post prize list before the fourth round.

Both Sections: Both sections are FIDE rated and use FIDE playing rules. Both sections are also USCF rated. USCF rules/ratings used for awarding prizes. USCF ratings used for pairing purposes. May use US Chess pairing rules. Players not at the board within 60 minutes of the scheduled start of the round will forfeit the game unless the arbiter decides to extend it to 90 minutes on a game by game basis. (Note that the late player's clock will keep running.) Except for US Chess approved Electronic scorekeeping devices, no electronics are allowed in the playing area during the round. This includes rest rooms near the playing area. This rule applies to players, parents, and coaches. Note that the Playing area will be closed to non-players during the round. Every player must turn in a copy of their games.
One 1/2 point bye available if requested before round 3 and before getting a full point bye. It is recommended that players trying to get a FIDE rating, to not take any byes

Tournament has two Sections. All players need a FIDE ID in order to play. Foreign players must disclose their FIDE ID number before 1st round in order to play. New players CHECK WEBSITE for procedures to get assigned a FIDE ID.
