Entry Fee: $44 if received by 5/18, $55 at site. $28 Junior (under 19)/Senior (over 65)/full time College/Handicap if received by 5/18, $32 at site (counts ½ toward based on prizes.)

$5300 in prizes based on 175 full entries.

Texas Chess Association membership required, other states association memberships accepted.   

Up to two ½ point byes available if requested before end of round 2 and before any full point bye is awarded. Byes for both rounds 6 AND 7 is not permitted.

4 day: Registration 5/28, 6:15 pm-7:10 pm.

3 day: Registration 5/29, 8am-8:30am.

Open: Open to players rated 2000 (USCF or FIDE) and above. This section is also Fide rated but uses USCF rules.

Two Sections: K-12 Open & K-12 Under 800

Time Control: Rounds 1-3 G/30 (each player gets 30 minutes for each game)

Rounds 4-5 G/45 (each player gets 45 minutes for each game.)

Entry Fee: $19 by 5/18, $25 at site. Open to anyone in grades K-12, USCF Membership is required. Scholastic does not count toward the 175 based on prizes.

Texas State Bughouse Tournament

Sunday, May 30

Entry Fee: $10 per team, or $5 for a single player to be assigned a partner.

Onsite Registration only, Registration on Sunday at 8:30 pm.

Round 1 at 9:00, IF YOU ARE REGISTERED IN THE BUGHOUSE TOURNAMENT AND EITHER PLAYERS' GAME IN THE ACTUAL TOURNAMENT IS STILL GOING, THEN YOUR TEAM WILL RECEIVE A FULL POINT BYE IN THE FIRST ROUND.

The second round will begin at 9:45 with subsequent rounds immediately following.

Prizes will be based on the number of entries and will pay out at least 90%.

The winners will be crowned the NEW official state bughouse champions of Texas.
