by 2/7; $35 by 2/26; $50 after 2/26 and on site. This tournament is for players who do not have a US
Chess membership.
(Note: If the player has or had a USCF membership they ARE NOT
Eligible to play the Un-Rated Middle/High School Section) The tournament
will not be USCF rated.
Scholarships to be Awarded Un-Rated Section: Middle/High School - $500
Trophies to Top 3 individuals and Top 2 teams in each
section. One 1/2 point bye if requested before Round 2. Sections: Un-Rated Middle/High School, Un-Rated 4-5/6, Un-Rated
K-3
Additional Scholarship Information:
Winners of scholarships will
need to provide a 529 account for the funds to be transferred to. The
funds will be directly transferred to the provided account. Winners
have 60 days from the end of the event to provide the information (Until
May 2, 2025).
Seating for Parents, Coaches, and Players between rounds:
The Vista is a large mall
however tables and chairs are very limited. You can bring you own
chairs (Lawn chairs etc). There is ample room in mall but seating
directly outside the playing hall is prohibited. A team is made up of at least 2 players from the same
school and playing in the same section.
There is no limit to how many
players are on the team. For team standings, we count the top 4 scores.
Team members are shown by all having the same team code. There are no
team rooms. Instead teams can find areas in the mall to gather. This tournament will use the
